Procurement Officer

​We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Officers, to join our Rail clients expanding Procurement function based in Central London on a hybrid basis (2/3 days a week in the office). The salary level is £70 - £75K + excellent benefits including a final salary pension, free or discounted rail travel and health care.
 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that is expanding rapidly in size as part of an enhanced procurement function, you will be involved with upcoming new initiatives and systems; obtaining ISO 20400 Sustainable Procurement accreditation; ambitious Supply Chain innovation and commercial performance targets; the next few years offer members of the Procurement Team an exceptional opportunity to shape and develop rewarding careers within a supportive department.

We are looking for an exceptional individual to fill the new Procurement Officer positions, to compete and run tenders. Each role will support a different business area:

• Building services and small works

• IT systems and digital services

• ​Engineering spares and infrastructure services

The person we hope to find:​​

Knowledge and competency in:

• The legal and regulatory environment of procurement including UCR16

• The utilisation of bespoke terms and conditions and Industry standard models

• Contract change and variation drafting

• Integrating sustainability within procurement

• e-sourcing systems and P2P

• Developing procurement strategies which balance the need to deliver value whilst mitigating risk

• Working flexibly, managing multiple competing projects and priorities

• Influencing diverse stakeholders to build strong, collaborative relationships at all levels within the business and externally

• Commercially focused and innovative in approach

• Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) or working towards qualification
